Payments
We require pre-payments for all bookings; we do not handle cash at the beach. Payment options are Direct Transfer, or credit card. All payments are required to be finalized prior to lesson date. You are required to give 48 hours for direct transfer payments, if making a payment within 24 hours we require a bank transfer for receipt copy or credit card payment.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, we have established the following cancellation policy:
Cancellation Notice: All participants must provide at least **48 hours' notice** for any cancellations related to scheduled Group Lessons and Private Surf Lessons. This notice is essential for us to manage our staffing and coaching schedules effectively.
Refund Policy: Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance. If you need to cancel within this timeframe, we can issue a credit voucher for a future lesson or allow you to gift the lesson to another person. Refunds will only be considered in extreme emergencies, where written documentation is required. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, with applicable administration and credit card fees. All refunds incur a $25.00 + GST administration fee!
Rescheduled Lessons
Godfathers of the Ocean Surf School reserve the right to cancel and or reschedule surf lessons due to extreme weather and or dangerous surf conditions. In the event this occurs, we will endeavour to reschedule your lesson to another time and day that suits the participants and Godfathers of the Ocean, however in circumstances that this is not possible, we can offer a credit voucher for yourself or to gift to another person. We do not refund due to bad condtions and or rainy weather!
If you require to reschedule your lesson for any reason, an adminstration fee of $25.00 + GST will apply.
Weather and Surf Conditions: Your safety is our top priority! If we determine that conditions are unsafe due to poor surf conditions or extreme weather, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons. In such cases, we will provide alternative booking options or credit vouchers for future lessons. Again, refunds are not guaranteed, as they depend on individual circumstances.
Rainy Weather
No surf lessons are cancelled due to rainy conditions, no refunds or reschedules are available to those who do not cancel within cancellation period stated above.
No-Show Policy: If you fail to provide the required 48-hour notice for cancellation or do not show up for your scheduled session, your booking will be considered a no-show. In this case, no refunds or alterations will be permitted, and you will forfeit your payment.
Late Arrivals: We understand that delays can happen; however, we cannot hold lessons for participants who arrive late. For Private Lessons, if you are late, you will lose that time from your scheduled lesson. For Group Lessons, we respect the time of all participants, and if you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we cannot guarantee your participation in the scheduled session due to necessary safety instructions and orientation.
Gift Vouchers:
There are ‘no refunds’ offered on Gift Vouchers. Gift Vouchers are to be redeemed within a 12-month period from purchase date. However, you can contact Godfathers of the Ocean and request an extension if circumstances have prevented the use of the voucher. Godfathers of the Ocean reserve the right to the final decision.

You should immediately seek medical attention if there are any unanticipated changes to your physical condition at any time.
